Here are the advantages of buying a demo vehicle
New vehicle or demo? Groupe Spinelli tells you why you should choose a demo over a new car in this blog post.

The time has come for you to get a new vehicle. Like many of our Groupe Spinelli customers, you are probably considering buying or leasing a new vehicle for your next car, thinking that the only other possible alternative is the purchase of a used one. But have you considered a demo vehicle? This type of car combines the advantages of both new and used vehicles. Below is an overview of what “demos” are exactly, as well as their advantages if you are considering buying one. So read on without further ado to learn all about it!

What is a demo vehicle exactly?

Before discussing the advantages of demonstrator vehicles over their new counterparts, we need to define what they are. Called “demos” in the jargon, the majority of dealers have them in stock, and Groupe Spinelli is no exception to the rule, whether in Montreal or on the North Shore in Laval.

These vehicles are only used by the dealership for very specific purposes. For example, they may have been loaned to customers who have left their own vehicle at the service department for inspection/maintenance/repair. The loan of a future “demo” vehicle gives these customers a means of transportation while their car is in the dealership's workshop. Demos may also have been vehicles used by some dealership staff (salespeople, managers) for their own travels, or for test drives with potential customers.

But no matter what use was made of them, at Spinelli, “demos” are always very well maintained. Nevertheless, they are already declared as sold. And that's where their key benefit lies!

Why buy a demo vehicle from Groupe Spinelli in Montreal?

With its status as a like-new vehicle but with some mileage, a demo is already considered “used”, since it is registered as sold. This gives it a first major advantage over the same model when new: a lower rate even if the demo will generally have less than 10,000 kilometres on the odometer.

By paying such a price, you will therefore benefit from the initial decrease in value, instead of losing this value with the same vehicle when new. You will therefore experience less depreciation between the time you buy it and the eventual time you want to resell it on the North Shore in Laval, for example.

Another point worth mentioning is that the majority of demos will have been on the road since less than a year ago. By opting for one of the demos in Groupe Spinelli’s inventory, the remainder of the manufacturer's warranty would necessarily be greater than if you’d acquire a used vehicle. In other words, your demo will still be under the manufacturer's warranty for a much longer period than in the case of the same vehicle but used.

And last but not least, demos, especially in the case of those that were used by managers, often have very attractive standard features. They indeed offer a high level of equipment with technologies comparable, or even identical, to those of a new model. You will thus get the latest innovations, but at a much lower price due to the demo status of the vehicle you've purchased. Interesting, isn't it?
